Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units (RTUs), heat pumps, air handlers.
Experience with VRF/VRV systems, chillers, boilers, and processed water systems is a plus but not a requirement.
Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC components, including electrical and mechanical systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and energy efficiency.
Read and interpret engineered blueprints, architectural drawings technical manuals, and schematics to execute commercial/industrial installations.
Assist Estimators with mechanical take-offs as needed.
Work with controls and automation systems to optimize HVAC performance.
Provide recommendations to clients on system upgrades, repairs, and energy-efficient solutions.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
Adhere to safety protocols, codes, and regulations in all work performed.
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation within field service software.

Job Requirements:

5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC electrical and mechanical components.
Experience with RTU's, split systems, unit heaters, and gas piping to supply units.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and reporting job progress to office staff.
Maintains professionalism and upholds Scout core values at all times while interacting with customers and co-workers.
Ability to travel to job sites as required each day.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
